Kaprun Castle takes you on a journey in time back to the middle ages. An event that is very popular every year is the Burgfest in July. The local history museum gives you insight into the life of Alpine farmers of yesteryear, with displays of their various tools and crafts.
Young guests especially love a visit to the Ferleiten Animal Park, with numerous different species of animals such as wolves, brown bears, snow eagles and raccoons to observe in their huge enclosures. After travelling up on the chairlift, the summer toboggan run in Saalfelden offers pure tobogganing pleasure. It has 63 bends and is 1.6 km long, guaranteed great summer fun for all the family.
